Morrison has had a desperately bad spell while being at Lazio having played no games for the Italian club.

Now looking for a route back into English football it seems that Wigan are the favorites to get the talented 23-year-old. After spells on loan at QPR, Cardiff and Birmingham from Manchester United and West Ham he looked a hot prospect for the future of English football when he was put in the same category as Pogba while they played in Manchester United’s youth teams.

It never worked out for Ravel even though he had played well for many of the teams he was loaned out to. The main contributing factor to the bad image of Morrison is in 2014 when he threatened “to throw acid in his ex-girlfriends” face. He was soon arrested but then released on bail.

Morrison has been training with Wigan and club boss Joyce has confirmed that he is close to joining the Latics. However Morrsion, as talented as he is, will struggle to get Wigan out of their relegation battle which is beginning to look worrying as the Latics have been cut adrift only above Rotherham.

It looks like a good more for Morrison and could be a stepping-stone for him to move on to greater things in England because no one can doubt his talent. It will be good to get his treacherous time in Italy finished.
