Holloway full of praise for Michael Doughty

Michael Doughty of QPRIan Holloway who has just recalled Doughty and Furlong from their spells on loan at Swindon is full of praise for the QPR midfielder. Doughty, who is now 24-years-old, has never been able to break into the QPR line-up permanently but this seems sure to change with Holloway the boss at QPR. Holloway was “shocked” that Doughty had been allowed to go out on loan in the summer and he seems to definitely have Doughty in his future plans.

Holloway commented on how both Furlong and Doughty will have a “big future” at QPR while he is the boss and that they days of players ‘coming to QPR for the money are over” and that he only wants players who are hard working. 90765300_rexfeatures_5827057cc

Both Doughty and Furlong played for QPR against Reading for their third successive win, with Furlong starting for the R’s. It seems that Holloway is looking to QPR’s youth academy for players to break into the starting line-up.

Holloway is looking to bring in four more players this transfer window but he is defiant that the players have to be at the club for the right reasons. He wants players that will “give me absolutely everything”. With QPR’s final offer of £2m for Ward rejected by Rotherham he may be forced to look elsewhere.

The clearout has been completed at QPR and it will be interesting where there team spirit can take them this season.
